Identity for the 14th annual Fresh Grad Event, continuing AIGA NY's commitment to supporting and celebrating emerging design talent.
Fresh Grad is an annual showcase event presented by AIGA NY featuring the thesis projects of 10 exception graduate design students from local and regional MFA, MA and certificate programs. It promotes collaboration, innovation, and diversity within the graduate design community and continues to inspire and empower generations of designers to embrace fresh perspectives and forge meaningful connections in the industry.
The theme of the year's identity is intersections and convergence, representing the coming together of diverse disciplines, the blending of ideas, and the synthesis of different perspectives. It symbolizes the interconnectivity of various design fields and celebrates the beauty of collaboration.
The branding centers around overlapping geometry, as in a Venn diagram. It is supplemented by vibrant colors and dynamic typography. The logo features a stylized graduation cap symbolizing achievement and transition, with overlapping geometric shapes representing the diverse design disciplines coming together.
Graphics were applied to event signage, marketing materials, and for the first time ever— a program booklet, commemorating the achievements and projects of the grads in print, produced in partnership with Mohawk Paper and TocciMade.
