Packaging Design

Labels and packaging for one of the world's oldest heritage Italian food brands.

Elena Monari of Monari Federzoni was the very first operator to ever be granted a license to sell balsamic vinegar in the town of Modena. She played a pivotal role in establishing the consortium responsible for the sale, distribution and regulation of Balsamic Vinegar of Modena.

Today, the Monari Federzoni tradition lives on through a variety of specialty Italian oils and vinegars, including the Elsa brand. I was tasked with redesigning the packaging for a curated selection of bottles of their olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Building on the existing heritage of the brands, I refreshed the packaging design, developing a set of patterns based on the core motifs of the products (grapes for vinegar, olives for olive oil, etc).

Stay Updated

There are enough emails in the universe, so I solemnly swear I’ll only send you the most exciting updates—quarterly-ish. And by that, I mean once a year when I manage to pull off my end-of-year thank-you’s and fresh case studies.
