Custom lettered book cover collection for L. Frank Baum's timeless children's series inspiring generations in the magical land of Oz.

Now in its 120th year, the Wizard of Oz series has accumulated millions of life-long fans. The heritage and history of the fictional land of Oz has grown into a massive empire, forever embedded in pop culture. Its original print edition books are some of the most valuable pieces of book memorabilia in the world today.

This series drew inspiration from the original Wizard of Oz cover illustrations in their whimsy and elegance. I drew lettering for all 14 of the original books in the series, shaping elegant, rich typography as well as creating a cohesive system. The covers were designed in a gradient from ruby red to brick yellow to deep emerald as a nod to Dorothy’s journey through the Land of Oz.
